Absorbs odor too
These have been better all around, like that they DO absorb odor as my tiny yorkie can used a pad several times!

Deodorizing!
I’ve tried several different pee pads for our Chihuahua. This is the only one I found that is actually deodorizing. Allows me to save money by not having to change pee pads quite as often due to odor.

Great absorption!
Decided to try these as they were lower cost as the brand I’ve been purchasing in the past. Blown away by the superior absorption. This will be my regular go-to in the future.

The best decision I have ever made.
If you purchase this item, don’t be surprised if your pet or pets don’t use it at first. There is one place where my pets have their so called “accidents” on the floor. Well, today, to my surprise one of them had an accident on the pad that I place in the common place they repeatedly have relieved themselves when they don’t get outside fast enough. It did not leak through and absorbed well. The cleanup was super easy. I bought these even though it says puppy on the bag and listing. Mine is no longer a puppy by many years. You will be happy with the product if you choose to buy them. Just be patient because it will happen in the dog’s own time. If you have a male kitten that has their “spray” moments, this was good for that too. It actually made my male cat from spraying in the area they did it. I don’t know if it will do the same for your male cat(s), but it is worth the try. Just place it in the place where it consistently happens. Oh, and make sure to have something heavy on top of the side or corner of it to keep it in place.

Great odor control!
So we have a 19 year old cat that no longer uses the box but will use pads, so we have been buying puppy pads for years now. We usually get them from Sam’s or Walmart because they seem to be the best price (especially compared to buying them at the pet store)! The odor coming from the bathroom has just been knocking me over lately! We use the Breeze cat boxes and I removed 1 and completely dumped, cleaned and refilled the other. The odor persisted. I finally wondered if it could be coming from the pads instead of the boxes. Since she doesn’t pee that much at a time, I hate throwing out the pads with just 1 little spot because it seems so wasteful. But this apparently was where the odor was coming from! I found these pads, for a similar price as what we’d been paying for the same amount, and decided to give them a try. Well … let me tell you the odor coming from the bathroom is significantly less. I won’t say there is zero odor but it doesn’t knock me over when I walk into the bedroom anymore! It’s more what you might expect from a cat box and I don’t smell it in the bedroom anymore but only in the bathroom and even then it’s low. I’m so happy with these pads and will continue to keep them on my subscribe and save list as long as we have our cat that uses them.

My crazy dog does not want to use these
I have bought charcoal pads before and never had a problem, but I am noticing a trend with my goofy dog peeing next to this pad in particular. She is a professional pad pee-er, and I have never had this problem until I recently cracked open a box of these pads. There have been occasions where she missed a pad or was half off the pad and because of that I keep heavy duty plastic sheeting on the floor to lay her pads on (I do not care what the box says, all pads either leak or some reaction between pee and the material the pads are made of causes condensation on the bottom of the pad that wets the floor, even when they pee square on).Since I have been using these charcoal pads, she pees off the pad at least 25% of the time. I work from home and her potty place is adjacent to my workstation so I can see when she goes. I don’t let the pad get soaked with multiple pees, I usually pick up after a 2nd unless she has a big 1st pee on the pad, then I pick it up after the 1st. But even if I lay down new fresh pads (always 2 side by side) she still pees off too often. I spared you a picture of pee on my floor, and I included a picture of Baby Luv as dog tax. In this picture I am asking her to please pee on the pad, not next to the pad.

Best Feature Is…
The Charcoal Eliminates the ODERS when you put it in your Trash!!! That is the BEST feature!!!Does a decent job holding the pee in without it leaking into The carpet! But even for my small dog I have to overlap 4 pee-pads! Wish they were Bigger!!

GreT alternative to freezing outdoors for small dogs
Dog is trained to use these, and he’s reliable on them. Temperature here is well under freezing and my frail health means I need extra time to put on layers and get shoes on, poor little guy doesn’t have to wait, just pee on his pad. Easy clean up, out with the trash.

I switched from one scented with febreze but ended up stinking. These have 0 smell! The charcoal truly covers any odors! They absorb the liquid and odors! I only wish the lip on the edge was on all 4 sides and not on only 2.

These pads worked as intended even for LARGE dogs…but when the price went up ,it wasn’t worth the smaller size for the same count at that price…(other pads are same price & count, but larger sheets)

I like these but………………..
They do the job but they do not fold all the way out – the edges are hard to unfold so I don’t get the entire 22×22 most times. In all other pads I used, the edges just popped out. I am not sure if I will buy again.

Quality has fallen off!!
I subscribe every month. I have been very happy with the price and the high quality of the product in the past. The last 3 shipments have not been as good of quality as what I am used to. The side flaps have been erratically cut and the leak protection strip has been either missing or very narrow compared to the normal. I have been considering changing the brand for my next subscription.

Best out of three!
These are great out of three brands I tried. Don’t like the look of other stained pads? Don’t like that wonderful aroma? Get these. I live in my RV with two busy chihuahuas. This pad takes care of all of that. The charcoal layer masks the pee stains and that sharp odor of pee. And in tight quarters like an RV this is a relief.

Can be difficult to see where puppy peed
These puppy training pads were very economically priced so I purchased 2 packs of 100.They absorb well, they’re easy to use as other brands and are easy to clean up. The problem we had was not being able to tell right away or from a distance, if the pad was soiled by urine. Even little poopy paw prints aren’t easily visible unless you are right on top of the pad. If you have any vision issues, have low lighting or need to be able to tell right away from a distance or from camera view if there’s any soiling on the pads, please pick another colour – not dark colours.

The best product, Glad for pets black charcoal training pads for dogs
The media could not be loaded.
I recently tried the Glad for Pets Black Charcoal Training Pads for my puppy, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! These pads are not only super absorbent, but the black charcoal feature helps to neutralize odors effectively. My dog took to them right away, making potty training a breeze. The leak-proof design gives me peace of mind, and the generous size provides ample coverage. Overall, I highly recommend the Glad for Pets Black Charcoal Training Pads for dog owners looking for a reliable and odor-controlling solution. Happy dog, happy mommy 😊

Great product!
Love this product! I actually use it for an elderly cat who won’t share litter boxes. She immediately took to it. And so easy to roll up and throw away. Very absorbent. I used it on a previous (sadly gone now) elderly cat, and it worked great.

Does what it suppose too and good value
They work good enough for me at this point. I buy 200 (2 bags) its better the value. They’re not Extra Large but they do the job for what I need them for. The pads arent very thick so they’re not for large dogs. I have a Corgi/Shepherd so it does the job pretty good; but sometimes it can leak through the back a little so I’ll add an extra pad on top of another one if I know she’s drank alot tht day. I’ve purchased several times because of the value and the quality it good enough.

Best pads we’ve used
We have an odd kitty that uses these pads for going #2 and refuses to do that in the litter box. They work great for that, and they are big enough for his 22 pound self.I will also say these work great to change a baby on. We’ve been using them on the go with our 17 month old son, and have been using them since he was born to change him in public places. They are great for putting over dirty public changing tables and throwing them away afterwards instead of stuffing a washable one back in a clean diaper bag. We also use them at home to change him anywhere. So far, it has caught all bodily fluids wonderfully. We keep these on order and a 100 pack lasted us a whole year.

Decent Absorbency, but Quality and Odor Control Could be Improved
I recently purchased the Glad for Pets Black Charcoal Puppy Pads for my puppy’s potty training needs. While these pads offer some benefits, there are a few areas where improvement is needed, resulting in a moderate rating. One positive aspect of these puppy pads is their absorbency. They do a decent job of absorbing urine and locking it in, helping to keep the surface dry and reducing the risk of leaks or tracking. This is particularly important during the early stages of potty training when accidents are more frequent. The inclusion of black charcoal for odor control is a commendable feature. It helps to neutralize and minimize unpleasant smells, creating a more pleasant environment for both me and my puppy. The odor control aspect is appreciated, especially in indoor settings. However, there are some drawbacks to consider. Firstly, the overall quality of these puppy pads is average at best. Some pads may tear or leak when saturated, leading to potential messes and compromising their effectiveness. This lack of durability is a concern, particularly when dealing with accidents that require a high level of absorbency. While the pads claim to neutralize urine instantly, there have been instances where the urine odor still lingers after use. The effectiveness of the odor control seems to vary, and additional measures may be required to fully eliminate odors. The size of the pads, measuring 23″ x 23″, may not be sufficient for larger dogs or for those that have a larger surface area when eliminating. This limitation can result in the need for multiple pads or an increased risk of missing the target area, particularly during the initial stages of potty training.Additionally, the packaging of the pads could be improved. Some users have reported issues with the pads sticking together or difficulty in separating them, which can be frustrating and time-consuming.In conclusion, the Glad for Pets Black Charcoal Puppy Pads offer decent absorbency and some odor control benefits for potty training purposes. However, the quality and durability of the pads, as well as the effectiveness of odor control, leave room for improvement. The size may also be a limitation for larger dogs or those with specific needs. If you are considering these puppy pads, it is important to be aware of their limitations and assess whether they meet your specific requirements. Exploring alternative options with higher quality and more reliable performance may be beneficial for long-term potty training success.

Best potty pads that I’ve tried!
I ordered a pack of these over a year ago and didn’t feel like it was important to leave a review, but also because it took me almost a year to use the package I had purchased! My little shih tzu is housebroken, but I always leave out pee pads just in case I am in expectantly working late. It’s not fair to my pup to make her hold it on those days that I didn’t know ahead of time that I was going to have to stay at work for a couple of extra hours and I refuse to put her in a crate when I’m not home! Also, living in the Midwest, winters get cold and it can be hard on a little dogs feet to be out in the freezing cold and sorry, I refuse to put little boots on a dog! A winter sweater, but no boots! So, anyway, a year ago I ordered these, it took a long time to use the whole bag, but once I did, I was out at one of the larger home improvement stores and just grabbed a large bag of their pads and started using them. Pee pads are all the same right?Well actually no, they are not at all the same! With the brand that I purchased, I’d put them down and if I came home and saw that my dog had used one, when I’d go to pick it up to dispose of it, there is always always a wet spot on the floor! My dog is about 8lbs, she is incapable of peeing out more than possibly 1/16th of a cup of urine when she needs to go and I’m being generous in the amount of urine that she would possibly go at one time, yet these pee pads that I purchased from the home improvement store ( that were 3 dollars more than this bag of glad brand bags mind you) have not even been able to hold that amount of urine and I always need to mop the floor under the pad once I get home on top of having to toss out the pad!On top of the disappointing performance of the store brand for my dog, I have now rescued a lion head bunny. Since adopting her, I have discovered that you cannot put normal rabbit bedding down in her cage, anything you leave is going to stick to their long hair!I was at a lose as to what to do until another lion head owner suggested that I use pee pads to line my bunnies cage! An ingenious suggestion that has kept my bunny’s hair free of bedding debris, but once again, lifting out the pee pads is a disgusting mess! They wind up being soaked with urine and wet underneath the pee pads as well!So tonight I threw in the towel on this other brand of pee pads and I just placed an order for another bag of the glad pee pads! They work incredibly well, not once did urine ever soak through the pad and onto the floor when using for my dog, I’m just hoping they work just as well in my rabbits cage!I will keep you all posted if they do or not, but as far as using for my pup, they are the most absorbent pads that I have ever used and will continue to order these and only these from now on!I should known that since they are made by glad, they were going to work better than any others! No one paid me or gave me any promotional incentive to give this review, this is my honest opinion and I cannot recommend these any more highly than what I have said already! No, pee pads are not all the same and the expensive ones that come from reputable stores do not work better than these!Trust the Glad brand pads! They work better than any brand out there!

This is a must have in my household
I have two four-legged best friends my 80 pounder Gidget and my little girl Roxie all 16 lb. Although Roxie is 6 years old I still use puppy pads because when I go out for long periods of time Roxie doesn’t seem to be able to hold on and wait till I get home to go potty as long as my big girl does. I also put them down on rainy days when Roxie won’t go outside. It definitely saves the floors and carpets because it’s a good product and the right size for her, I do wish the plastic bottom was a little bit thicker. I like these and they definitely serve the purpose but I think next time I’m going to try a different brand just to give me peace of mind and see if the bottom plastic liner is a little bit thicker.

Absorbant
My puppy is trained to go both outside and to use these pads. Saves her from holding it for hours or waking me at night. The only thing that can happen is if she goes to close to the top or bottom it can run off the ends. The sides have like a lip but not at top & bottom. But to keep it from running onto the floor I place large people bed pads under the puppy pads and if it does run off I just throw those in the washer.

Leak proof until the last 2 packages
Really liked these for our 2 puppies and bought 4 more packages and for some reason 2 of them have had several that leak. I had bought a potty pad tray, which cost $42 but the dogs didn’t like it. I then bought an oil pan tray $13 (guy at auto store asked what I was using it for as he said people have all kinds of uses for these…LOL) and its a little bigger than the pad so if they hang over a little no problem. Left the other tray out also and they started using it a couple of weeks later. So luckily the leaks were contained, but still a mess to clean up. I gave this 4 stares as before I had no issues and when I bought again it’s only the last 2 packages that have an issue.

Your puppy may be more likely to chew these
I started my puppy off with the retriever brand puppy pads that they sell at tractor supply and she did not chew them once. I switched to these ones and immediately she started chewing. Even if I spray bitter spray on these pads, she still wants to shred them into a million pieces. I just switched back to the retriever brand and she’s back to not chewing. These glad pads advertise having some sort of “attractant” in them so I think that may be the reason this happened.

Great for small dogs
Love using these for my small dog while she was potty training and for long days at work. They attract her to them and are very absorbent. I never have to worry about urine spilling over the edge or that there will be a scent. Cleanup is as simple as folding and rolling up.

No odor for litter box!
We started using a cat litter box system that allows the pine pellets to dissolve through the grate in the litter box onto a puppy pad. We went with this brand in the hopes that it would help deodorize the urine since we wouldn’t need to change out the pad for a week or so. Definitely worth purchasing! We can’t detect any odor and when it’s time to change out the pad, it is super durable to hold all the heavy pine pellet dust when we remove it.

The _lighter_ gray goes up!
Despite reading the entire package, which states in at least 2 places, that the gray side goes up, I needed to pour a bit of water on it to discover that the darker charcoal gray side goes on the bottom and the lighter gray side goes on the top. I have a disabled kitten, not a puppy, and he did fine with a different brand. He has not yet used this pad, so I am hoping that means he is climbing into the litterbox and not using a spot on the floor that I have yetto locate. It is kind of frustrating that the mfr states that the “gray” side goes up without clarifying that the light gray side goes up and the dark gray side goes down. When I did pourvwater on the light gray side, it absorbed almost instantly.

Too small
These puppy pads are too small. They are fairly absorbent but it is difficult to see when they are wet. They do tend to control odors well but you have to use too many of them to make them practical with potty training.

Such a great product
I really wish I had started using these a long time ago. I have the litter boxes cut down on one end so that area is only about a couple inches high, to make it easier for my old arthritic cats. One will step in but his butt hangs over the side, so he pees mostly outside the box. Tho the pads are a little more than the regular ones, these really keep the odor down. So I put cloth, leak proof, pads down then these under the boxes and in front of them. I only have to wash the cloth pads once weekly, but change these charcoal disposable ones daily. It’s really saved my bad back with the bending over and cleaning.
