Works great
This product has really slowed down my puppies eating. She takes 3 or 4 minutes to eat instead of 45 seconds.

Works great unless you have a problem-solving pug
I have two gulpers in the household, a blind older male Boston terrier, and a feisty female pug. I looked at these bowls, read the reviews, liked the price, and ordered two: teal for my boy and pink for my girl. DEFINITELY slowed down the eating! My blind male seemed to actually enjoy the challenge and licked each grove to ensure no nuggets remained. My problem-solving pug (and *that’s* two words I never thought I’d use in a sentence!) tried to gulp, couldn’t, tried to lick up kernels, became frustrated, and used her paw to flip the bowl! After nudging the bowl away with her flat face she then proceeded to inhale dinner off the feeding mat!Enter plan B. Next meal I switched and gave the male the pink flower and gave the pug the teal grooves. This seemed to work better as the pug actually ate around the bowl in circles chasing the nuggets through the circular grooves. The blind Boston seemed to like the challenge of the flower shape even more but maintained a stoic stance over the bowl not moving in any direction to more easily lick up nuggets.Third meal with the slow feeders: blind Boston stoically manipulated the pink petals; problem-solving pug took one look at the teal grooves, nose-snorted in disgust, looked at me, then flipped the bowl with her paw. Apart from gluing the bowl to the floor, I figured the slow-feeder was a fail with her.So I cleaned the bowl and returned to Amazon. The bowl definitely slows down a gulper, but if you have a fur-kid who thinks through problems you may look for an anti-tip option. Rather than purchase another bowl, I returned to the pug’s previously bowl but added a half pack of my husband’s new Nitro golf balls that just arrived. That slowed the pug down some (not as much as the slow-feeder bowl) and I’m hoping my spouse doesn’t recognize the theft. Otherwise, I’ll be cleaning my husband’s balls …

Perfect for my fast eater!
My lab literally INHALES his food and we were constantly worrying about him choking or potential stomach issues. This has helped so much and it’s almost like a game to him to get it all out. I’m glad I bought this and I’m glad my fast eating boy has something that helps him out!

I have a gobbler !
Two year old Golden-doodle wolfed his food down and puked all the time. This feeder has fixed his issue entirely. I’m very very pleased. I’d recommend it!It’s sturdy and holds about two cups of medium sized kibble. If you want your dog to eat even slower just use one cup of food at a time. You can smear wet snacks all over the dish for a nice busy-bowl, too.

Great for Small Senior Dog
We’ve gotten a lot of puzzle feeders over the years, and our dog hasn’t really enjoyed any of them. We were looking to inject a bit of mental stimulation into dinner time, in particular something that worked well with wet dog food. This has been perfect – he used to finish dinner in 1-2 minutes and now takes 5-10, he enjoys eating from it, and it’s a snap to wash off in the sink (or throw in the top shelf of the dishwasher).

Depth of ridges so tongue can reach.
I love this dish but the grooves r too deep for my little dog. It would have helped if I knew how deep the ridges were. It said it was for a small dog. I have ordered a cat maze dish. I will donate this one to Helping Hands.

Like a labyrinth for his tongue
Our 1 year old Aussie mix has a high need for mental engagement and no matter how much exercise, obedience, outings, play, tricks, games or “jobs” he enjoyed during the rest of the day he still seemed bored when it came to meal time. He would pick food up and carry it over to the floor a few steps away or he would paw the bowl which was messy even though he’s been trained to confine food and treats to his “picnic blanket”. He wasn’t enthusiastic when called to eat from a bowl and sometimes left part of the meal untouched. He responded well to the same food coming from our hands or a Kong so we reckoned it was the bowl that was the issue. We were nervous this slow feeder wouldn’t be difficult enough to keep him interested but it has really done the trick. Since getting it we don’t even have to call him to eat, he sees the bowl and he’s there. He doesn’t paw it at all and only occasionally drops something over the edge which seems to just be accidental . He eats all his food! Hard to believe one bowl could solve so many issues but it has. It’s quieter than the other bowls we’ve tried and accommodates wet, dry, raw, cooked or whatever food combo we want. It’s stable with little rubber grips on bottom so it doesn’t slide. He walks around it in circles as he eats which is cute, like he’s doing a labyrinth with his tongue.. It’s easy to clean. We have no hesitation recommending it.

Slows down my dog’s eating
My pittie would eat her 1.5 cups of food in 30 seconds out of her normal, stainless steel bowl. Now, she takes 3 minutes to eat- which is a huge improvement.I removed 1 star because as much as the bowl is supposed to hold 2 cups of food, it just barely holds 1.5 cups. This might be because her food has larger pieces. I bought the medium size bowl. I think I might go up one more size so that her food sits down lower in the bowl. That might slow her down more. All in all, it does slower her eating considerably. Worth the money.

Definitely Slows My Dog Down
When we adopted our lab, within one feeding, I knew we needed something like this asap. She would gulp her meal down in about 3 swallows. I picked this one and it does it’s job. However, when pouring food in, some usually does spill / bounce out of the bowl. Not that big of problem. We either leave it and she gets it or just put the pieces back in. One solution was to hold the bowl over the food container and then dump it in. I did this at first, but now I carry the scoop over to her bowl. It has definitely slowed her down, even though she is still trying to eat it as fast as she can.

Very Pleased
I have been looking for the perfect slo feeder bowl for almost 2 years. The prices were nail biting, because everytime i found one it would come in a larger size then the one i was looking for. So its 2024 and i started looking again and came across this one but when I seen this one I was sold. I love the design and how it’s just the right size for my child(dog). It’s portable and it came in a wonderful color. As you can see he is really enjoying it. I took a sneaky shot so I can catch him in the act. Surprisingly he took to it fast. This is the first time he has ever had on and looks like we will be getting more colors.

Great product.
I have a rescue dog who is a resource guarder. She was eating so fast she made herself sick, and then I would end up cleaning up diarrhea in the living room. I bought her this bowl for Christmas, problem solved. She loves it.

Seves purpose, but a bit small
Arrived on time. It does get my dog to eat a little slower. But the dimensions are misleading. It has three tiers, the center being the tallest. As a result, it doesn’t hold as much as I expected. My dog gets 1/2 c kibble soaked in 1 c hot water, to get him to drink more fluids. This doesn’t hold that much wo overflowing, so I have to feed him each meal in two shifts. If the center and middle sections were as deep as the outer section, it’d be no problem.

Nice and sturdy
I have 18 week old puppy who likes to gobble down his food, but this actually helps slow him down. I also purchased lick pads because I feed him wet puppy food, baby food, and a tablespoon of coconut oil. The bowl is bigger than what I thought it was going to be from picture but that is fine. It does not slide or move around, but he does move it around himself lol

not as durable as we’d hoped
we had the traditional stainless steel food bowl, and our dog is a pittie mix. This bowl was great to slow him down eating so he doesn’t gulp down his food. The raised ridges started to display slight gouges after about a week. We couldn’t find any pieces of it but there were obvious scrapes on the surfaces. It seems well made and our breed dog has strong jaws so perhaps that is that factor that caused these scratches, but out of caution we’re switching to an alternate type. Seller ships fast and the non-stick bottom worked excellent at keeping the bowl from moving.

Great bowl!
I ordered multiple of these for all of my dogs and they really work great! But if you have a super chewer who hates bowls with a passion they will chew it up like mine did! They were easy to wash, stayed in place pretty good & were really great quality! I may order them again one day once we get past super chewing

Slows my fast eater down!
This bowl is great! One of my dogs inhales her food so fast then tries to steal my other dog’s (who slowly enjoys her food!) She eats so fast she barely even chews it. This bowl has slowed her down tremendously and I actually hear her chewing more. Also I think she enjoys the challenge of it, like it stimulates her mentally as well. I wish I thought to buy one years ago

Best bowl I have ever bought for my dog.
Wish I would have know about these bowls long ago.. My 65 lb Dalmatian would go through his bowl of food in 30-45 seconds. This is unhealthy. I saw this bowl being reviewed. the dog in the review was taking 3 minutes to eat, however when the bowl was used, eating time went to 9 minutes. Thought I would give it a try. Well, my dog’s eating time went from under 60 seconds to almost 10 minutes. He has a great time licking into all the crevices and seems way more satisfied. Excellent purchase !

Perfect for slow feedings
I really like this bowl. I was a little worried about purchasing something like this from Amazon. Just because some items are not what you expect or the quality. However, this item is very sturdy. It seems to be made very well and it really does make feeding my 11-year-old lab a little less stressful for me because she tends to eat very fast and now this allows her to eat slower and it’s gone from Maybe 4 Minutes to 11-12 minutes. Now I know other dogs may do differently, but for me, it really did help solve the problem. Plus, the price was not bad ,it was very reasonable compared to other items that I had been looking at. Would definitely recommend

yes
when we first brought my dog home from the rescue, she thought she’d go on a hunger strike for like a day after we tried to feed her in the utility room one time. as we treat dogs better than people in my family, we took her to the vet to make sure she was okay. the vet said oh may her stomach is bothering her. the food is so rich (are you surprised we buy fancy dog food too?) and she’s acclimating. try giving her white rice and some boiled chicken for a couple of days and see how she does. fast forward to now, nearly a decade later, and this snot gets boiled chicken hand mixed into her kibble twice a day at meal time STILL. she does have a touchy tummy though, and let me tell you, after you have to clean up a full barf from a 55lb dog right after mealtime a couple times, you will be very encouraged to try and remedy the problem. you know what you can’t do in this bowl though? mix pieces of boiled chicken with kibble effectively. we’ve resorted to mixing them in her old, normal food bowl, then scooping it into the slow feeder, then putting BOTH bowls down because the girl just LOVES to eat and she must lick both bowls until they are sparkling clean at least twice. anyway, she loves feeling like she’s getting two bowls of food even though one is just full of chicken and fromm whiffs, and i love not needing to clean up a whole pile of hot kibble-chicken-bile barf 10 minutes later.

Helped my puppy
When I first got my Corgi puppy at 8 weeks old, he kept throwing up immediately after eating his food. I was worried at first that I needed to take him to the vet, but he was acting completely normal besides throwing up. A friend recommended this bowl, so I tried it out and he hasn’t thrown up since then! He was just eating his food too fast before and this bowl helps slow him down so he can digest it properly! Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars by not going to the vet!

Did not slow feeding one bit until done correctly
UPDATE!! I definitely posted in frustration and annoyance and too quickly. I changed my one star to five stars because this actually does work very well. A little added trick that I was told to do is not only just spreading the food around a bit. Also, add water let it soak for about two minutes, and that will also help to slow the pupper down from eating too fast. I definitely recommend this product. I bought this because my dog literally almost died two days ago because of fast eating and choking. I am so disappointed. I was hoping this would slow her down and my hope was in vain. I am so sad right now it’s not even funny. I have looked at other slow feeders, and I don’t think that any of them won’t work. This is the one that I bought though. And it did nothing! I want to cry I feel so defeated.

IT REALLY WORKS!!!!!
My Dazey dog is like a little hoover when it comes to mealtime! This bowl has taken her from scarfing her food down in under a minute, to hunting for her morsels for up to four minutes! She loves her new bowl and so do I. The color, it’s sturdy, it doesn’t scoot all over the floor. It’s perfect!

Slows down our dog from eating to fast
Our dog was originally dumped and when we got her she would wolf down her food. This would cause her to burp three or four times after eating and sometimes vomit. Since using this dish it has slowed her down eating and we have noticed that she is not burping now. Great idea in slowing the eating habits of pets.

On the small side
Although the bowl works great with a smaller amount of food, I’ve found it less effective if you add over a cup of food—it’s smaller than advertised. This bowl is also a lot harder to distribute food evenly throughout than the other brand of slow feed bowl I have for my other dog. All in all, a decent product, but not quite what I was hoping for.

Slows down his eating
Love this bowl. My bc came from the street and was starving so he has food anxiety. He would gulp down his food in two breaths. This bowl slows him down and now he finishes after my other bc who is a very calm slow eater. It is sturdy and easy to clean.

Works almost too well
I’ve got a picky eater 4 month old Golden Doodle. When he eats, he gulps, so bought this to slow him down. It definitely does that! The “rings” are pretty narrow, so I’d definitely advise this only for use with pretty small pups.Overall I think I prefer “the Greens” over this design, but there’s nothing at all wrong with this one.

Perfect bowl for our needs
My doxipin had started gulping down her food then choking. This bowl has been great to slow her down. She works her way around the bowl to eat. She does push the bowl around the floor but it slowed her down and that was perfect for our needs. We will probably get another before long to mix it up for her

Smaller than expected
I ordered these for my two 5 month old huskeys. They are a little smaller than I thought they would be but it has helped so much to keep my puppies from scarfing down there food in seconds. But they do hold about 1.5 cups of food.

Amazing
I bought this for my almost 1-year-old Frenchie. He inhales his food. He literally doesn’t even chew it. Since you eat so fast it makes him really gassy. His farts are the worst thing I’ve ever smelled in my life 😂 this bowl forces him to eat slower and has reduced his farts substantially. Life saver!

Not for smart dogs
I was so excited for this because our puppy eats way too fast and I worry about her digestion. We tried it out and it definitely slowed her down, so slow that she got irritated and flipped it over to get all the food out 😂 she’s too smart for her own good. It would probably work better if it was just a little heavier. Otherwise, seems decent.
